  Samuel Wiest was born on 21 August 1795 in Oley Township, Berks Co, PA, son of Jacob Wiest and Mary Flick. He married Eva ElisabethKlinger, daughter of Johann Peter (Peter) Klinger Sr. and Catharina Steinbruck, circa 1812. Samuel Wiest died on 3 January 1867 in Hebe, Northumberland Co., PA, at age 71. He was buried after 3 January 1867 in Zion (Klinger's) Lutheran Church Cemetery, Erdman, Dauphin Co., PA.
