Johann Peter (Peter) Klinger Sr. was born on 3 November 1773 in Reading, Berks Co., PA. He was the son of Johann Philip Klinger Sr. (RW)and Eva Elizabeth Beilstein. Johann Peter (Peter) Klinger Sr. married Catharina Steinbruck, daughter of Adam Steinbrecher and Anna Margaretha Hoffman, circa 1791 in Lykens Township, Dauphin Co., PA. Johann Peter (Peter) Klinger Sr. died on 10 August 1858 in Dauphin Co., PA, at age 84. He was buried after 10 August 1858 in Zion (Klinger's) Lutheran Church Cemetery, Erdman, Dauphin Co., PA, on Row 1/Stone #33.
