Lady Died Tuesday
Mrs. Harriet Klinger, age 82 years, one of Lykens Township's oldest residents, died at her home
about 1 1/2 miles northeast of Gratz at 9:20 o'clock Tuesday morning. She had been in failing health more than a year.
Mrs. Klinger was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Troutman and was born in Mahantongo Valley August 23, 1851.
She was married to Francis Klinger who died in November 1910. Mrs. Klinger was a member of Simeon Lutheran Church,
Gratz. She had resided the greater part of her life in Lykens Township and the Gratz community.
She is survived by ten children: Theodore Klinger and Wellington Klinger, Elizabethville R. D; Monroe Klinger, Gratz; William Klinger,
Lykens Township and Gordon Klinger, at home; Mrs. Brady Straub, Lykens Township; Mrs. Clara Stiely, Orwin; Mrs. Sallie Umholtz,
Gratz; Mrs. John Shoop, Tower City and Mrs. Charles Dunleavy,, Elizabethville R. D.
Funeral services will be held from the residence at ten o'clock Friday morning with further services in Simeon Lutheran Church, Gratz.
The pastor, Rev. W. Z. Artz will officiate and interment will be made in the adjoining cemetery.
