Samuel Roosevelt Leitzel was born on 18 June 1902 in Northumberland Co., PA. He was the son of George Adam T. Leitzel and Catherine Alice Snyder. Samuel Roosevelt Leitzel married Margaret Irene Kratzer, daughter of Joel Kratzer Jr. and Hattie Schlegel, circa 1924. Samuel Roosevelt Leitzel died on 22 August 1968 in Hebe, Northumberland Co., PA, at age 66. He was buried after 22 August 1968 in St. David's Lutheran & Reformed Church Cemetery, Hebe, Northumberland Co., PA.
